You're listening to unfiltered us, where we keep it real and unscripted. I'm your host, Suzy, along with my husband, Miguel. Ready to dive in? Let's get started. Well. Welcome back. You spill. What happened? My mic is a little crazy. It always. I always have problems with my mic. And Miguel is seems to act. I don't mess with mine. That's why I write every single time. Welcome, everyone. Welcome back to our newest episode. Hope you guys love last week's episode. Hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving. Yeah. You guys are ready with your gifts. And if you don't have a gift for me yet, it's never too late. Yeah, we still have time. I'm a size, large size on shirt, size 32 on pants, size ten on tennis shoes. What else? Seven and a quarter on hats. Oh, my goodness. You have it all down. All right, so we're talking about today. Oh what's going on here. I know I'm looking at our our clock here. Our clock is wrong. We have to put a timer on our podcast. And so let me go put a little timer. But it seems to be counting down wrong. It got moved, but it's all good now. Okay. So we're talking about today. Um, are 2026 and New Year's resolutions, right? Yep. So it's approaching. Yeah. So you guys, this is the perfect time. I think a lot of the times people put off things. Right. Um, or or people, as they approach a new year, they want to be able to change, right? They want to be able to evolve. They want to be able to grow as we all should. But at the same time, people put off making those changes, right? People put off planning. People put off starting, people put off, you know, um, just executing the plan or getting to it. Right. So this is December for us has always been the perfect month for us to kind of like finish up the year strong, but at the same time start planning and start, you know, um, getting ready to start a new year and trying to accomplish new goals and, uh, new resolutions, things that we want to do, things that we want to, uh, accomplish right, throughout the year. And I think December is the perfect time to do that. I know it. I have to agree that doing New Year's resolutions has always. Help us get to our goal. Because as far as for us, we set the goal and we're great at about achieving it for the most part. Um, a lot of it has to do with the fact that we do goal boards. Yep. And, um, we love doing goal boards and putting them up in our bedroom or wherever we see them constantly. Right. Uh, I know there's been a ton of gold boards that we have created that we look back and we're like, oh my gosh, look, I got that now. Oh guys look, you know I completed that now. Oh gosh. Look. You know. Yeah. And and so we love this this time of year when it comes to approaching as far as the new year. Mhm. We get more more excited about that than the holidays. Yeah we do. I guess because talking about this now compared to what we talked about last week, I'm like man I'm excited about this one. But no yeah you're right. You know we've put together. Oh geez I don't even know for maybe 20 years that we've been putting together gold boards. Yeah. And vision boards. Like a lot of people like to call it vision boards. We always call it goal boards. But, you know, after The Secret came out, everybody called it vision boards. Um, either or just put together something, you know? And I know that every year they change, right? Every year we put different things and every year we, you know, when you look back at what some of the vision boards that we've done in the past. Yeah, we have accomplished a lot of those things. And last year I remember putting together a goal board, and I remember thinking, this is probably the best goal board I've ever put together until I looked at it. This morning. Okay. And I know it's going to get better. I already know the changes I'm going to make. I already know how I can make it better. I already know there are some things in there that drove me last year, and we're finishing the year. Obviously strong, but I know there are other things I gotta add and remove from this one. That will drive me even harder next year to accomplish those goals and dreams. I know there's a lot of cars you put on there that you have owned now. Yeah, my my goal for every car I've owned has been in a gold board pretty much for the at first before you even never had it. Yeah. Even this car that I'm driving right now, it's, um. I never took a picture of it and put it on my on my actual board, but it is written on my phone off the list of cars that I would own. Oh, okay. And so it's there. That's the same thing. Yeah. It's it's on a list. It's not on a visual like we're talking to people, but it's been on a list of cars that I know I'm going to own. And so now that's one of the things I want to add or remove for next year is there's some some vehicles in there that I'm like, okay, yes, I really wanted that last year, but this is what I really want for this. I never knew I wanted a truck so bad. Yeah, there you go then. It's got to be on yours as well too. I know the same one. We gotta find the same picture and put it on both one. And I only say that now because, um, a couple weeks ago, or maybe even longer now, we went to Utah. Um, not to go back, but. We ended up renting a cabin, right? And we ended up pretty much getting snowed in. Yeah. Um, we got stuck and we got stuck in the snow. I mean, thankfully, we got stuck next to, like, some construction workers that had, uh, two huge trucks, and they pulled us out. They were very, very nice. And they pulled us out. And so once they pulled us out, we didn't get stuck again. And it was fine. Right. But that's when I realized, first of all, how much I love the snow, because I had never experienced anything like that even at my age, because going to Mount Charleston is nothing compared to when you rented a cabin in Utah. No. Like night and day compare. You cannot compare. Like I became such a winter baby after that vacation that I'm like, no, we're definitely coming back. But becoming more prepared. And obviously that requires a truck. Yeah, yeah, that's the only way I would go back. Yeah, because that's the only way I would go back. To me, that was a one and done thing. I know I I'd rather go to the beach. I'd rather go on the ocean and on the sun. I'd rather get it sunburned. I mean, that's not that bad, is it? Nice. But, like, I just loved it so much. And you know what my baby did to. And, uh, it was a great time. It was a great time and honestly, I love being able to like get there Park. And we already had all of our meals planned and our grocery list plans. So like we just went and bought everything, took everything to the house that did not move for like three days. Three days. Yeah, I we made breakfast, lunch and dinner and coffee. Coffee. And it was the me was the best time because like, we just did not do anything. It was your family time. Pure family time. Yeah, I, I mean, I absolutely loved it. And so the only way I'm going back is definitely with a you said something when we, when we were coming back that that was like something off your bucket list. So that was so that was definitely something that you had, uh, thought of a resolution or that, that you wanted to do. Yeah. I always said that I would rent a cabin and, um, get, like, hot cocoa and drink it and watch the snow. And that's exactly what happened. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, um. Okay, so what are what are some of the things that you want to do next year as far as, I mean, gold boards are. Oh, let me go back to the gold board before I ask this question. Okay. Because we were talking about gold boards and how we, um, recommend everyone to put together gold boards and, and I remember that we, we used to do gold boards before. And this is the this is the importance of always wanting to improve and get better, because you always think you got it until you learn something new and you're like, I didn't have it right. And the reason why I say that is because one of our friends, Brenda, um, she's a realtor, right? Brenda Beltran and I remember she posted something that she was going to be, uh, hosting and teaching a goal board setting class. Yes, on how to put together a goal board. And I know that there are people there. There were probably people that saw that and said, I already know how to do it. I'm not I'm not going to do it. I already know how to put goal boards. I've been doing it for so long, but not us. I remember looked at that post and I'm like, count me in, I'm going. And I remember you came. I remember Miguelito came and it was just the three of us, and she laid it out in a way that I had never, that I had never even know seen. I have never, but it made the most sense ever. As far as placement, as far as far as color, color coordination. Yeah, as far as placement. As far as pictures go, it was something amazing. Like I am like, oh my God, like I have never this was like, what, three years ago, maybe four years ago, maybe four that she did this. So we've been doing it. Our gold boards have gotten better and better and better, but way better over the last four years after going to that class. So shout out to our great friend Brenda Beltran for teaching us how to do that. And I'm going to ask her if she's going to do another one this year, because I would love to go to it again, but I would love to also invite some people that are interested, or maybe going because she opened it up for everybody. Did she opened it up for everybody. And I thought, there'll be. A ton of people. I thought so too. I thought there'd be a ton of people there. Literally us. Um, another couple and a couple of her agents, I think are a couple of her and her boyfriend at the time. Yeah, but it was just. It was just amazing. It was less than ten of us. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it was maybe ten of us, but, um, it was amazing. I learned so much from that class. So I highly recommend if you guys have been putting together vision boards before and you gotta attend, you know, some of if if she does another one, I mean, and I'll ask her, I mean, now now that. Who knows? Who knows? But, um. So, okay, if anything, maybe we could do one, since we kind of understand, since we do it now. Like the way she talks. We have we have. We did teach, uh, a couple of our agents. Yes. Uh, over the last couple of years, we've been they've they've been doing it because we've been able. Isn't it crazy how we never thought to add a picture of ourselves? Most people are gonna listen to you, and they're like, what? But yeah, because as a goal board, you have to. Put yourself in there. And I never thought to put myself in there in the middle of it all, in the middle of it all, which is what Brenda taught us. Right. Because I would always just throw up a bunch of pictures of, like, what I wanted to do or want it to look like. And I did, but never a picture of myself. Correct. Yeah, that's one of the main things. Yep. Because you got to see yourself in my mind. I'm like, wait a second. That makes so much sense. And and and the thing thing about it, the psychology behind it. Right. So if you put a picture of yourself, most likely you're gonna find a picture you love about you. Mhm. You're not gonna put a picture. Right. Like the second you woke up. Right. Yeah. You're gonna find a picture. And so every time you look at your goal board and you're looking at what was probably, at that time, the best picture of you that you can find. Yeah. Which puts you in a completely different state of mind when it comes down to getting after and achieving your goals and dreams. Yes. Which the psychology behind it is just amazing. You know, when it comes down to this deep thinking stuff, man, I'm all up in it, you know, because I already know what that does to you. You know, I already know how how I mean it, just to put it in perspective. Okay. And I know I'm getting off topic right here, but like you said this the other day, there was a group picture, a family picture that somebody took. Right. Um, and then what do you do when you look at a group picture? Right. And you look at the picture. Who's the first person you look at yourself. Yourself. Now, if you don't like that picture, most likely you're going to ask to be retaking another picture. Hey, how come you didn't tell me my hair was like this? Or my eyes are closed or right? You just did not. And everybody else likes the way they look. Everyone else loves the way they look. Like you're the only one. Yes. There's always somebody, right? There's always somebody. He's never going to be a picture perfect for everybody. But you do the best and you retake the picture. Or someone loves it and someone doesn't. Or, you know, that's why having a picture of yourself in that gold bar makes the total sense. Because you're always gonna look at yourself first. Yeah. So. What are some of the things that you want to accomplish? Man, that's so great as far as a resolution for next year is. Um, well, we already said one for sure is to get a truck. The other one is, um, and I know we talked about this some episodes before, but getting better at the procrastination thing, which I have to say, I've gotten so much better. Um, but I need to, you know, step it up to the next level. You know, it's not perfection. It's not where I want to be. But it's definitely, you know, like the next step up. Um, and next year, I would really love to, um, get more tone. I want a muscle definition. Like, I like the way I look, but I don't feel like I don't look skinny, but then I don't look fat. I and I think muscle definition as far as, like really learning, like as far as eating correctly when it comes down to that and like maybe all the right maybe adding more weight on my, um, you know, when I do my sets and stuff like that, adding more weight, uh, little things like that, so that I become more toned where I look like a. Fit skinny rather than just, like, not skinny and skinny fat. Yeah. You know, like. Well, I think we talked about that today. You know, I think, like, we have been great, consistent and going to the gym for on on four years now nonstop. But that consistency needs to go to the food. Yeah. Absolutely. So I that's the one thing that I can see that if you were to stay consistent with the right diet that you can achieve that. Yeah. Because there's people he does a lot because there's people. Right. I'm just saying for you because there's people that we talked about that we see that go to the gym and they've been going to the gym and they probably even work out more than us. But because they don't have the proper diet. They they look the same, if not even worse than what they did 3 or 4 years ago. Yeah, it's really weird. So, you know, and plus everybody's different when it comes down to diet. Right. We talk about that before, but, um, I think those are great resolutions. Anything else. So. So across the nation obviously the vehicle and then the definition the consistent. Yeah. On the diet. Are you really ever since because we did a detox not that long ago. And as far as, like, clean eating, right. That's my goal is to really become a clean eater. Like, right where I really pay attention to ingredients, which I have already really started that like I have been really good about. If I go to the grocery store, I pay attention to what ingredients are in the thing that I'm buying, and if there's stuff in there that I do not like, I do not purchase it no matter how bad I want it. If I can't find like a good clean one, then I just don't get it at it right now. Um, so just eating more at home and then like, eating clean, as I call it, that's actually, believe it or not, it's part of the biohacking. It's really what it is, right? You're when you when you when your food intake. It's better your body's going to feel better. So you're in a sense the biology of our bodies. Right. The only reason why people are not performing at their peak performance that they could be. It's just because of the food that they're eating or the supplements that they're taking. Right? Or are the chemicals that they're that we find in food nowadays, chemicals are and that they don't pay attention to that. So it's almost like you have to do. A better job at learning the intake of it and what it will do to your body. So that's part of the I. I have always considered that part of the biohacking, and I love that when I once I started learning that, and I know you got into it with the supplements and all this stuff, but once I started learning biohacking, I'm like, I'm in like, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm all up for it. Like taking the right everything for your body and what it's done to your body. And I feel like it's made a huge difference in myself, you know, over the last three and a half years. And and I cannot wait what I'm going to look like when I turn 50, because it's going to be something like, you're gonna be like, what? That guy is 15 like. And it's funny how you don't see it. Yeah, because I look at pictures even just a year ago. Right. And you look so different. Yeah. Like incredibly different. Like. Yeah. And you, we would I the picture that I saw of you, that was, it was like you, my dad and my brother, I think my brother in law. I was like, how long ago was this picture? It was literally a year ago. And I was like, oh my goodness, you look so different. Yeah. Were you stunned by that pictures right now? Uh, yeah. Well, when I look at pictures like that, I'm like, whoa, you know, like I'm like, oh my God. But it only happens when I look back at pictures like that. It doesn't happen every day. If I go to the mirror right now and I look at myself, I'm, I'm like, dude, I'm. I need to get on it. Like I need, you know, like, it's not what I want, you know? And and that's another part of the goal board, the vision board. There is a picture in there of a physique that I'm like, that's the one I want, you know? So I'm not there yet. And I know part of it is because of the inconsistency with the right nutrition. Yeah. You know, but because as far as the workout goes, I mean, I mean, shoot, we unless we don't do a double workout a day, we're doing it, you know. Yeah. But what about you? For you. Um, for me, you know, I, I think we talked about it a couple episodes ago. I want to learn how to play the guitar. Yeah, I do want to find the time to do it, though. The the problem with the the thing that I have with that is that guitar. You have to have the. The time, but not only the time, but the patience, right? Because it's like the guitar is not fast, right? It's something that you have to learn. And so I feel like sometimes I go a thousand miles an hour, and for me to be able to hit the brakes and get to that part is it's like a shock, you know? But I do want to. It's just like meditating. Yeah. Meditating is the same thing. Your mind is racing a thousand miles an hour. And when you talk about sitting there and relaxing and meditating, it's almost like it. Your brain just doesn't comprehend it. But that is another thing that I had in my resolution or my goals a couple of years ago. And I, I wanted to learn how to reel, how to meditate, and I never got a chance to do it. I never I just never have. Um, but that I, I do want to be able to find something that slows my mind going a thousand miles an hour. And I think whether it's a guitar or meditating or both is definitely something I want to do. Um, of course I would want a new car. Why would I not want a new car or a new truck? Because it's me. Um, and let's see, as far as, you know, uh, physical. Yeah. Just get better at it, you know, learn how to, um. Just just do the proper exercises, you know. And as far as the, the, the the eating part. I don't think I do that bad, but at the same time I could be doing a lot better. So I see what you're saying as far as toning. Yeah. You know, but of course, when it comes down to, you know, physical building or your body, you know, I want to get bigger. Um, any guy that works out, you know, probably said the same thing as far as physique goes. Uh, let me see. Business wise, um, I know last year I made a resolution that I wanted to talk more people than ever before. I want to say I have what, somewhat accomplished that this year. You definitely have. So that's one goal I set out. One resolution I set out to do, and I'm doing it. And next year it's just doing more of it, you know, doing more of it. But at the same time, like we talked about today, I think next year. Um, I don't know, I feel like part of me wants to do something different. Not that I'm getting out, okay? I don't want people to take this the wrong way. He's quitting. No, it's, um. Man, I would like. I would like a new challenge. Honestly. I would like something else. I don't know what it is yet, but I'll come to you. Yeah. I mean, there's a couple of things I've thought about, but those things are for fun, you know? Yeah. Like the coffee and the hookah thing? Yeah. Yeah, that for sure is in the back of my mind right now. Yeah, but it's something that I. It's going to happen. It's just a matter of time, you know, but for me to take my eye off my business, to go to something else right now obviously makes no sense. Right? Uh, but I, I would love to next year to add something, um, on top of what I'm doing right now. Um, maybe coaching, I don't know, I gotta, I, I would love to coach people as far as one on one, you know, or or a team. Um, I would love to do that. You know, or maybe one on one. I am, you know, I am that certified professional life coach, so I would love to do that. I would love to do more of a coaching on one on one. So maybe that, you know, if I can get it approved to where I can charge people to meet with them and to help them out. Yeah, I'd love to do that. Just something different, you know? I mean, I love what I do. Don't get me wrong. I have a passion. Those of you that follow me, you know, I have a passion for it, but. Absolutely. But, uh, I just think next year, it's just. It's just time to add. Add something to add something to it. Add something. I wonder what it'll be. I don't know. Come to you at the right time. I don't know, but I, I I. This is. It doesn't happen. It hasn't happened. It hasn't happened. What's happening to me right now hasn't happened to me since I left my job and came to work with the company that we're in right now. And it happened right about December. Or I knew that from zero 4 to 0 five, it was right when I was going to be, you know, I, I didn't know when that I was going to be going full time. But it happened. And I think right now for 2026, as I feel right about the same, not that I'm leaving, but I want to add something else to it. I want to be because I know, I, I know I can, I don't I don't know what it is, but I know I can. You're going to start teaching you to our lessons because they're going to get so good. Imagine how'd you go from not knowing how to play guitar to freaking, you know, MG's teaching people how to play MG's chords? Come vie with me. Yeah. No, no, I, I, I, you know, not to say I, I don't want to do it, but, you know, I mean, man, I think I'm really behind on that right now. Yeah. You know, because okay, here's another thing for a guitar. Some people play with their nails, right. Oh I got nails. I gotta get one of those little plastic things, you know. Yeah. Sorry, a little blue. My things that people would do. So I for sure I'm going to need one of those because I ain't got no nails. People do it with their nails. Really? Yes. I've never painted it. I thought it was always a guitar pick. No no no no no. There's people that play guitar. I don't even know what they're nails with. I mean, this hand right here, the other one is just holding it up here or vice versa, you know, if you're left handed, but, um. No. Yeah. No. People play guitars without that pick. Oh, maybe the electric guitar. You have to play with the pick because those chords are. Harder, but like the acoustic guitar and, you know, you. You play with. You play with your nails. Huh? There's people that play without the pick. Well, I got the nails. There you go. But yours is going to be the other one. That that timbre. Yes. Uh, I would love to play the drums. Yeah. Yeah, but that playing the drums is. I mean, I love to play, but to teach yourself. To play the drums. No, you need somebody. Even guitar. I, I feel like I feel like taking some lessons for it won't hurt either, you know? Especially because it's gonna take you longer if you try learning on your own. But like everything else, you gotta wait to, like, even travel with it. And then you, you know, it's easy to store away. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Guitar. I mean, like, a whole drum set is. No, no, it's just I that's what I mean. Like, I would love to, but I'm not gonna put a drum set in my house because it's not like I could hide it. It's like you literally have. Yeah. There's people that do. Yeah. That's too much. No, but yeah, I think that that's it. You know, obviously just get healthier, like you said, the right supplements, the right eating right and keep, keep uh, consistent on and everything else grow our business at another one and you know just. Just travel, you know, spend more time with the kids. Obviously just those things, those things that that, that fulfill you and that make you feel alive because you're living life, you know. Yeah. So I think that's that's the necessary changes or the, the resolutions that I'm planning on doing for next year. I still have I mean, like, I know I have thought of those, but I definitely gonna add more to my vision board once it gets closer. Yeah, yeah, I did like I said, this is the perfect time. December is the perfect time. You know, I even used to do like a book list of books that I was going to read the next following year I would put together. Okay, January, I'm reading this one. February. I'm reading this one I remember. So, um, one thing is for sure, I already thought about it. Come January, I'm going to start reading The Untethered Soul again, and as soon as I'm done with that one, I'm reading, you know, leaving untethered. Those are the those are the first two books. I think this is going to be the third year or fourth year that I've read all those books in January, the exact same books. I try to do my best to read them every January, because it just gets you right back to where you need to be, you know? And you figure by the end of the year, like right now, it's like, crap. I forgot about that stuff, man. I'm letting things that I should I let get to great to reread books that made it, especially that one to me. Because, you know, I don't know, it's just me. I let things get to me so much that I just need to keep. Mhm. Re learning and re um reevaluating my letting go of things you know. Yeah. So it's just me though. But everybody's different. You might have a different book. You might, you might not know what I need it. But that's just part of personal growth you know. Yeah. Everybody's different and not and and again I'm not afraid to deny it because, you know, it is what it is. That's just you. That's just me, baby. The one and only. Very true. Okay. I mean, that's how I love you. That's how I fell in love with you. Because I'm an oak. I don't know what that means when you say that. One of a kind. Oh. That's very true. You are. All right. Anything else you want to say for people? New year's resolution, what they need to work on or what they should do or. And really start putting your list together and then like, yeah, really make it a point to complete a vision board before the end of the year. Yeah. And by the time you're listening to this, if you do want to be a part of that goal board setting class. Let us know. If our friend Brenda is not doing one. We'll do one because we usually do it at our office too. Yeah, we can put together a, you know, a one night where we have people come in. That'd be fun. It'll be great. It'll be great.
